'Abdur-Rahman bin 'Auf told him that Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "If you hear that it (plague) has broken out in a land, do not go to it; but if it breaks out in a land where you are present, do not go out escaping from it." The believers who remain patient in a land in which plague has broken out and consider that nothing will befall him except what Allah has ordained for him, Allah will grant him a reward similar to that of a martyr." When his illness was aggravated, I used to recite those two Suras and blow my breath over him and make him rub his body with his own hand for its blessings." (Ma'mar asked Az-Zuhri: How did the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) use to blow? Az-Zuhri said: He used to blow on his hands and then passed them over his face.) Remove the trouble and heal the patient, for You are the Healer. No healing is of any avail but Yours; healing that will leave behind no ailment." So if anyone of you sees (in a dream) something he dislikes, when he gets up he should blow thrice (on his left side) and seek refuge with Allah from its evil for then it will not harm him." He said. "They are nothing" They said, "O Allah's Apostle! Sometimes they tell us of a thing which turns out to be true." Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "A Jinn snatches that true word and pours it into the ear of his friend (the fore-teller) (as one puts something into a bottle). On that Abu Bakr said, "O Allah's Apostle! One side of my Izar hangs low if I do not take care of it." FlasHDasH Posted August 1, 2011 Author Report Share Posted August 1, 2011 Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu Fasting - 1st Ramadan 1432 (1st August 2011) Narrated Talha bin 'Ubaid-Ullah (Radi-Allahu 'anhu): A bedouin with unkempt hair came to Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) and said, "O Allah's Apostle! Inform me what Allah has made compulsory for me as regards the prayers." He replied: "You have to offer perfectly the five compulsory prayers in a day and night (24 hours), unless you want to pray Nawafil." The bedouin further asked, "Inform me what Allah has made compulsory for me as regards fasting." He replied, "You have to fast during the whole month of Ramadan, unless you want to fast more as Nawafil." The bedouin further asked, "Tell me how much Zakat Allah has enjoined on me." Thus, Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) informed him about all the rules (i.e. fundamentals) of Islam. The bedouin then said, "By Him Who has honored you, I will neither perform any Nawafil nor will I decrease what Allah has enjoined on me. Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "If he is saying the truth, he will succeed (or he will be granted Paradise)." So, the person observing fasting should avoid sexual relation with his wife and should not behave foolishly and impudently, and if somebody fights with him or abuses him, he should tell him twice, 'I am fasting." The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) added, "By Him in Whose Hands my soul is, the smell coming out from the mouth of a fasting person is better in the sight of Allah than the smell of musk. (Allah says about the fasting person), 'He has left his food, drink and desires for My sake. The fast is for Me. It will be said, 'Where are those who used to observe fasts?' They will get up, and none except them will enter through it. Here is prosperity.' So, whoever was amongst the people who used to offer their prayers, will be called from the gate of the prayer; and whoever was amongst the people who used to participate in Jihad, will be called from the gate of Jihad; and whoever was amongst those who used to observe fasts, will be called from the gate of Ar-Raiyan; whoever was amongst those who used to give in charity, will be called from the gate of charity." Abu Bakr said, "Let my parents be sacrificed for you, O Allah's Apostle! No distress or need will befall him who will be called from those gates. Will there be any one who will be called from all these gates?" The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) replied, "Yes, and I hope you will be one of them."
