Abu Hafsat Posted September 26 Report Share Posted September 26 In his Ihya Ulum-din, Imam Ghazali, may Allah be Merciful to him, said that Bayhaqi related on the authority of Jabir, may Allah be pleased with him, that on coming back from one of his military campaigns, the Noble Messenger of Allah, Sallallahu alaihi Wasallam said to his companions :- "You have come forth in the best way of coming forth, you have come from the smaller Jihad to the greater Jihad." They said : "And what is the greater Jihad?" He replied : "The (mujahadat) striving of Allah's servants against their idle desires". Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
