ummtaalib
Carrying out the Command of Allah Despite not feeling motivated Hazrat Moulana Ashraf Ali Thanwi (rahmatullahi ‘alaih) once mentioned:It is compulsory upon one to fulfil the commandments of Shariah, regardless of whether one feels motivated or not. It is really unfortunate that one only fulfils the commands of Shariah when one feels motivated. Is one the servant of one’s feelings or the servant of Allah? (Being the servant of Allah demands that one fulfils the command of the Creator regardless of whether one feels motivated or not. This is the sign of one being the true servant of Allah and not the servant of one’s feelings.)
