Finding out the gender of the foetus

Q. Is it permissible to find out the gender of a baby before it is born?

A. There is no harm in finding out the gender of a baby before it is born provided no impermissible means are used to ascertain this.

 

However, one should not have conviction on the results of medical tests. The final outcome should be left in the knowledge of Allah Ta’ala.
