Giving fish to the newly wed couple

Q: Is there any ruling regarding giving fish to the newly-wed or just proposed couple? Like the girl's side must give the boy's side fish once they are engaged or married as this is sunnah? Please clarify?

 

A: This has no basis in Islam.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
