Removing Hair & Cutting Nails During Menses

Q. I wanted to know if we can remove hair from armpits or other areas during the menstrual period? Also can we cut our nails during menses?

 

A. Yes, you can do all the above during the menstrual Period.

Clipping one's nails in the state of haidh

 

 

Q: My wife wants to know if she can cut/clip her nails while she is in haidh? Sumone told her that she can't, but what if they are now long and ugly lookin and she does'nt like that? They are now starting to chip.

 

A: It is makrooh for a woman in the state of haidh to clip her nails. However if there is the need  for her to clip her nails (e.g. it has grown very long), it will be permissible.
