Rochdi
Health, Painting the cheeks With an abundant red. Health, Stretching her silhouette Upon the silky bed. Like a crown Over the head, So mighty Yet – so fragile a thread. Health, Blowing up the chest With power, energy And all the rest. Singing her joyful song With a voice incredibly strong, She celebrates her colorful days Through screams, dances And in so many other ways. Until Illness joins the game, Now, Things are no more the same. Fever, Pallor and blurred faces. Insomnia, Pain and trembling paces. Death, Knocking on the door. Now, no festivities No! No more. O my God! O my Lord! Ya Allah! Ya Rab!... So strange Is this human being He remembers Allah and his deen Only when danger enters the scene. Now,There he is Full of piety; The greatest of all the Muslimeen. Rochdi Bouillé December 9, 2011
