Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu Funerals - 4th Sha'aban 1433 (24th June 2012) Narrated Abu Huraira (Radi-Allahu 'anhu): The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "He who commits suicide by throttling shall keep on throttling himself in the Hell Fire (forever) and he who commits suicide by stabbing himself shall keep on stabbing himself in the Hell-Fire." Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu Funerals - 3rd Sha'aban 1433 (23rd June 2012) Narrated Thabit bin Ad-Dahhak (Radi-Allahu 'anhu): The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "Whoever intentionally swears falsely by a religion other than Islam, then he is what he has said, (e.g. if he says, 'If such thing is not true then I am a Jew,' he is really a Jew). And whoever commits suicide with piece of iron will be punished with the same piece of iron in the Hell Fire." Narrated Jundab the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "A man was inflicted with wounds and he committed suicide, and so Allah said: My slave has caused death on himself hurriedly, so I forbid Paradise for him." Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu Funerals - 2nd Sha'aban 1433 (22nd June 2012) Narrated Ibn Abbas (Radi-Allahu 'anhu): The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) once passed by two graves, and those two persons (in the graves) were being tortured. He said, "They are being tortured not for a great thing (to avoid). One of them never saved himself from being soiled with his urine, while the other was going about with calumnies (to make enmity between friends). He then took a green leaf of a date-palm tree split it into two pieces and fixed one on each grave. The people said, "O Allah's Apostle! Why have you done so?" He replied, "I hope that their punishment may be lessened till they (the leaf) become dry." Bukhari Vol. 2 : No. 443

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu Funerals - 1st Sha'aban 1433 (21st June 2012) Narrated Abu Huraira (Radi-Allahu 'anhu): that Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "Whoever attends the funeral procession till he offers the funeral prayer for it, will get a reward equal to one Qirat, and whoever accompanies it till burial, will get a reward equal to two Qirats." It was asked, "What are two Qirats?" He replied, "Like two huge mountains." Bukhari Vol. 2 : No. 410

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu Funerals - 30th Rajab 1433 (20th June 2012) Narrated Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri (Radi-Allahu 'anhu): Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "When the funeral is ready and the men carry it on their shoulders, if the deceased was righteous it will say, 'Present me (hurriedly),' and if he was not righteous, it will say, 'Woe to it (me)! Where are they taking it (me)?' Its voice is heard by everything except man and if he heard it he would fall unconscious." Bukhari Vol. 2 : No. 400

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu Funerals - 28th Rajab 1433 (18th June 2012) Narrated Zainab bint Abi Salama (Radi-Allahu 'anha): When the news of the death of Abu Sufyan reached from Sham, Um Habiba on the third day, asked for a yellow perfume and scented her cheeks and forearms and said, "No doubt, I would not have been in need of this, had I not heard the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) saying: "It is not legal for a woman who believes in Allah and the Last Day to mourn for more than three days for any dead person except her husband, for whom she should mourn for four months and ten days." Bukhari Vol. 2 : No. 370

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu Funerals - 26th Rajab 1433 (16th June 2012) Narrated Anas (Radi-Allahu 'anhu): The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "A Muslim whose three children die before the age of puberty will be granted Paradise by Allah due to his mercy for them." Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu Funerals - 25th Rajab 1433 (15th June 2012) Narrated 'Abdullah (Radi-Allahu 'anhu): Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "Anyone who dies worshipping others along with Allah will definitely enter the Fire." I said, "Anyone who dies worshipping none along with Allah will definitely enter Paradise." Bukhari Vol. 2 : No. 330

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu Prayer - 24th Rajab 1433 (14th June 2012) Narrated Zaid bin Arqam (Radi-Allahu 'anhu): In the life-time of the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) we used to speak while praying, and one of us would tell his needs to his companions, till the verse, 'Guard strictly your prayers (2.238)' was revealed. Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu Prayer at Night - 22nd Rajab 1433 (12th June 2012) Narrated Abu Qatada bin Rabi Al-Ansari (Radi-Allahu 'anhu): The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "If anyone of you enters a Masjid, he should not sit until he has offered a two-Rakat prayer." Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu Prayer at Night - 21st Rajab 1433 (11th June 2012) Narrated Anas bin Malik (Radi-Allahu 'anhu): Once the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) entered the Masjid and saw a rope hanging in between its two pillars. He said, "What is this rope?" The people said, "This rope is for Zainab who, when she feels tired, holds it (to keep standing for the prayer.)" The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "Don't use it. Remove the rope. You should pray as long as you feel active, and when you get tired, sit down." Bukhari Vol. 2 : No. 251

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu Prayer at Night - 20th Rajab 1433 (10th June 2012) Narrated Abu Huraira (Radi-Allahu 'anhu): At the time of the Fajr prayer the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) asked Bilal, "Tell me of the best deed you did after embracing Islam, for I heard your footsteps in front of me in Paradise." Bilal replied, "I did not do anything worth mentioning except that whenever I performed ablution during the day or night, I prayed after that ablution as much as was written for me." Bukhari Vol. 2 : No. 250

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu Prayer at Night- 19th Rajab 1433 (9th June 2012) Narrated Abu Huraira (Radi-Allahu 'anhu): Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "Our Lord, the Blessed, the Superior, comes every night down on the nearest Heaven to us when the last third of the night remains, saying: 'Is there anyone to invoke Me, so that I may respond to invocation? Is there anyone to ask Me, so that I may grant him his request? Is there anyone seeking My forgiveness, so that I may forgive him?' " Bukhari Vol. 2 : No. 246

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu Prayer at Night- 18th Rajab 1433 (8th June 2012) Narrated Samura bin Jundab (Radi-Allahu 'anhu): The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said in his narration of a dream that he saw, "He whose head was being crushed with a stone was one who learnt the Quran but never acted on it, and slept ignoring the compulsory prayers." Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu Prayer at Night- 17th Rajab 1433 (7th June 2012) Narrated Abu Huraira (Radi-Allahu 'anhu): Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "Satan puts three knots at the back of the head of any of you if he is asleep. On every knot he reads and exhales the following words, 'The night is long, so stay asleep.' When one wakes up and remembers Allah, one knot is undone; and when one performs ablution, the second knot is undone, and when one prays the third knot is undone and one gets up energetic with a good heart in the morning; otherwise one gets up lazy and with a mischievous heart." Bukhari Vol. 2 : No. 243

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu Prayer at Night- 16th Rajab 1433 (6th June 2012) Narrated Hudhaifa (Radi-Allahu 'anhu): Whenever the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) got up for Tahajjud prayer he used to clean his mouth (and teeth) with Siwak. Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu Prayer - 15th Rajab 1433 (5th June 2012) Narrated Salim's father (Radi-Allahu 'anhu): The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) used to offer the Maghrib and Isha' prayers together whenever he was in a hurry on a journey. Narrated Ibn Abbas (Radi-Allahu 'anhu): Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) used to offer the Zuhr and 'Asr prayers together on journeys, and also used to offer the Maghrib and 'Isha' prayers together. Narrated Anas bin Malik (Radi-Allahu 'anhu): The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) used to offer the Maghrib and the 'Isha' prayers together on journeys. Bukhari Vol. 2 : No. 209

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu Prayer - 14th Rajab 1433 (4th June 2012) Narrated Ibn 'Umar (Radi-Allahu 'anhu): The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "A woman should not travel for more than three days except with a Dhi-Mahram (i.e. a male with whom she cannot marry at all, e.g. her brother, father, grandfather, etc.) or her own husband.)" Bukhari Vol. 2 : No. 192

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu Prayer - 13th Rajab 1433 (3rd June 2012) Narrated Ibn Abbas (Radi-Allahu 'anhu): The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) once stayed for nineteen days and prayed shortened prayers. So when we travelled (and stayed) for nineteen days, we used to shorten the prayer but if we travelled (and stayed) for a longer period we used to offer the full prayer. Bukhari Vol. 2 : No. 186

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu Invoking Allah for Rain - 12th Rajab 1433 (2nd June 2012) Narrated Ibn 'Umar (Radi-Allahu 'anhu): Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "Keys of the unseen knowledge are five which nobody knows but Allah: nobody knows what will happen tomorrow; nobody knows what is in the womb; nobody knows what he will gain tomorrow; nobody knows at what place he will die; and nobody knows when it will rain." Bukhari Vol. 2 : No. 149

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu Invoking Allah for Rain - 11th Rajab 1433 (1st June 2012) Narrated Abu Huraira (Radi-Allahu 'anhu): The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "The Hour (Last Day) will not be established until (religious) knowledge will be taken away (by the death of religious learned men), earthquakes will be very frequent, time will pass quickly, afflictions will appear, murders will increase and money will overflow amongst you." (See Hadith No. 85 Vol 1). Bukhari Vol. 2 : No. 146
