Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu Medicine - 10th Sha'aban 1432 (11th July 2011) Narrated 'Aisha (Radi-Allahu 'anha): (the wife of the Prophet) that she asked Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) about plague, and Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) informed her saying, "Plague was a punishment which Allah used to send on whom He wished, but Allah made it a blessing for the believers. The believers who remain patient in a land in which plague has broken out and consider that nothing will befall him except what Allah has ordained for him, Allah will grant him a reward similar to that of a martyr." Bukhari Vol. 7 : No. 630

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu Medicine - 9th Sha'aban 1432 (10th July 2011) Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Amir (Radi-Allahu 'anhu): 'Umar went to Sham and when he reached Sargh, he got the news that an epidemic (of plague) had broken out in Sham. 'Abdur-Rahman bin 'Auf told him that Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "If you hear that it (plague) has broken out in a land, do not go to it; but if it breaks out in a land where you are present, do not go out escaping from it." Bukhari Vol. 7 : No. 626

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu Medicine - 6th Sha'aban 1432 (7th July 2011) Narrated Abu Said Al-Khudri (Radi-Allahu 'anhu): A man came to the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) and said, "My brother has some abdominal trouble." The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said to him "Let him drink honey." The man came for the second time and the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said to him, "Let him drink honey." He came for the third time and the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "Let him drink honey." He returned again and said, "I have done that." The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) then said, "Allah has said the truth, but your brother's abdomen has told a lie. Let him drink honey." So he made him drink honey and he was cured. Bukhari Vol. 7 : No. 588

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu Medicine - 7th Sha'aban 1432 (8th July 2011) Narrated Khalid bin Sad (Radi-Allahu 'anhu): We went out and Ghalib bin Abjar was accompanying us. He fell ill on the way and when we arrived at Medina he was still sick. Ibn Abi 'Atiq came to visit him and said to us, "Treat him with black cumin. Take five or seven seeds and crush them (mix the powder with oil) and drop the resulting mixture into both nostrils, for 'Aisha has narrated to me that she heard the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) saying, 'This black cumin is healing for all diseases except As-Sam.' Aisha said, 'What is As-Sam?' He said, 'Death.' " Bukhari Vol. 7 : No. 591

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu Medicine - 5th Sha'aban 1432 (6th July 2011) Narrated Rubai bint Mu'adh bin Afra (Radi-Allahu 'anha): We used to go for Military expeditions along with Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) and provide the people with water, serve them and bring the dead and the wounded back to Medina. Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu Marriage - 24th Jumada al-Awwal 1432 (28th April 2011) Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Amr bin Al-'As (Radi-Allahu 'anhu): Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "O 'Abdullah! Have I not been formed that you fast all the day and stand in prayer all night?" I said, "Yes, O Allah's Apostle!" He said, "Do not do that! Observe the fast sometimes and also leave them (the fast) at other times; stand up for the prayer at night and also sleep at night. Your body has a right over you, your eyes have a right over you and your wife has a right over you." Bukhari Vol. 7 : No. 127

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu Marriage - 23rd Jumada al-Awwal 1432 (27th April 2011) Narrated Abu Huraira (Radi-Allahu 'anhu): Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "It is not lawful for a lady to fast (Nawafil) without the permission of her husband when he is at home; and she should not allow anyone to enter his house except with his permission; and if she spends of his wealth (on charitable purposes) without being ordered by him, he will get half of the reward." Bukhari Vol. 7 : No. 123

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu Marriage - 22nd Jumada al-Awwal 1432 (26th April 2011) Narrated Abu Huraira (Radi-Allahu 'anhu): The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "A woman should not fast (optional fasts) except with her husband's permission if he is at home (staying with her)." Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu Marriage - 21st Jumada al-Awwal 1432 (25th April 2011) Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Umar (Radi-Allahu 'anhu): The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "Everyone of you is a guardian and everyone of you is responsible (for his wards). A ruler is a guardian and is responsible (for his subjects); a man is a guardian of his family and responsible (for them); a wife is a guardian of her husband's house and she is responsible (for it), a slave is a guardian of his master's property and is responsible (for that). Beware! All of you are guardians and are responsible (for your wards)." Bukhari Vol. 7 : No. 116

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu Marriage - 20th Jumada al-Awwal 1432 (24th April 2011) Narrated Abu Huraira (Radi-Allahu 'anhu): The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should not hurt (trouble) his neighbor. And I advise you to take care of the women, for they are created from a rib and the most crooked portion of the rib is its upper part; if you try to straighten it, it will break, and if you leave it, it will remain crooked, so I urge you to take care of women." Bukhari Vol. 7 : No. 114

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu Marriage - 19th Jumada al-Awwal 1432 (23rd April 2011) Narrated Abu Huraira (Radi-Allahu 'anhu): Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "The woman is like a rib; if you try to straighten her, she will break. So if you want to get benefit from her, do so while she still has some crookedness." Bukhari Vol. 7 : No. 113

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu Marriage - 18th Jumada al-Awwal 1432 (22nd April 2011) Narrated Abu Huraira (Radi-Allahu 'anhu): The worst food is that of a wedding banquet to which only the rich are invited while the poor are not invited. And he who refuses an invitation (to a banquet) disobeys Allah and His Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam). Bukhari Vol. 7 : No. 106

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu Marriage - 17th Jumada al-Awwal 1432 (21st April 2011) Narrated Ibn Abbas (Radi-Allahu 'anhu): The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "If anyone of you, when having sexual intercourse with his wife, says: Bismillah, Allahumma jannibni-Sh-Shaitan wa jannib-ish-Shaitan ma razaqtana, and if it is destined that they should have a child, then Satan will never be able to harm him." Bukhari Vol. 7 : No. 94

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu Marriage - 16th Jumada al-Awwal 1432 (20th April 2011) Narrated Sahl bin Sad (Radi-Allahu 'anhu): The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said to a man, "Marry, even with (a Mahr equal to) an iron ring." Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu Marriage - 15th Jumada al-Awwal 1432 (19th April 2011) Narrated Abu Huraira (Radi-Allahu 'anhu): The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "Beware of suspicion (about others), as suspicion is the falsest talk, and do not spy upon each other, and do not listen to the evil talk of the people about others' affairs, and do not have enmity with one another, but be brothers. And none should ask for the hand of a girl who is already engaged to his (Muslim) brother, but one should wait till the first suitor marries her or leaves her." Bukhari Vol. 7 : No. 74

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu Marriage - 14th Jumada al-Awwal 1432 (18th April 2011) Narrated Ibn 'Umar (Radi-Allahu 'anhu): The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) decreed that one should not try to cancel a bargain already agreed upon between some other persons (by offering a bigger price). And a man should not ask for the hand of a girl who is already engaged to his Muslim brother, unless the first suitor gives her up, or allows him to ask for her hand. Bukhari Vol. 7 : No. 73

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu Marriage - 13th Jumada al-Awwal 1432 (17th April 2011) Narrated Khansa bint Khidam Al-Ansariya (Radi-Allahu 'anha): That her father gave her in marriage when she was a matron and she disliked that marriage. So she went to Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) and he declared that marriage invalid. Bukhari Vol. 7 : No. 69

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu Marriage - 12th Jumada al-Awwal 1432 (16th April 2011) Narrated 'Abdullah (Radi-Allahu 'anhu): We were with the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) while we were young and had no wealth whatever. So Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "O young people! Whoever among you can marry, should marry, because it helps him lower his gaze and guard his modesty (i.e. his private parts from committing illegal sexual intercourse etc.), and whoever is not able to marry, should fast, as fasting diminishes his sexual power." Bukhari Vol. 7 : No. 4

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu Virtues of the Qur'an - 11th Jumada al-Awwal 1432 (15th April 2011) Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Amr (Radi-Allahu 'anhu): Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said to me, "Recite the whole Qur'an in one month's time." I said, "But I have power (to do more than that)." Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "Then finish the recitation of the Qur'an in seven days, and do not finish it in less than this period." Bukhari Vol. 6 : No. 574

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu Virtues of the Qur'an - 10th Jumada al-Awwal 1432 (14th April 2011) Narrated Abdullah bin Mas'ud (Radi-Allahu 'anhu): The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said to me, "Recite (the Quran) to me." I said, "O Allah's Apostle Shall I recite (the Qur'an) to you while it has been revealed to you?" He said, "Yes." So I recited Surat-An-Nisa' (The Women), but when I recited the Verse: 'How (will it be) then when We bring from each nation a witness and We bring you (O Muhammad) as a witness against these people.' (4.41) He (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "Enough for the present," I looked at him and behold! His eyes were overflowing with tears. Bukhari Vol. 6 : No. 570

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu Virtues of the Qur'an - 9th Jumada al-Awwal 1432 (13th April 2011) Narrated Umar bin Khattab (Radi-Allahu 'anhu): I heard Hisham bin Hakim bin Hizam reciting Surat-al-Furqan during the lifetime of Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam), and I listened to his recitation and noticed that he recited it in several ways which Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) had not taught me. So I was on the point of attacking him in the prayer, but I waited till he finished his prayer, and then I seized him by the collar and said, "Who taught you this Surah which I have heard you reciting?" He replied, "Allah's Apostle taught it to me." I said, "You are telling a lie; By Allah! Allah's Apostle taught me (in a different way) this very Surah which I have heard you reciting." So I took him, leading him to Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) and said, "O Allah's Apostle! I heard this person reciting Surat-al-Furqan in a way that you did not teach me, and you have taught me Surat-al-Furqan." The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "O Hisham, recite!" So he recited in the same way as I heard him recite it before. On that Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "It was revealed to be recited in this way." Then Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "Recite, O 'Umar!" So I recited it as he had taught me. Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) then said, "It was revealed to be recited in this way." Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) added, "The Quran has been revealed to be recited in several different ways, so recite of it that which is easier for you." Bukhari Vol. 6 : No. 561
