He is the only one who has the complete knowledge of each and everything that is present in this Universe. He is the sustainer, the maintainer, the Creator and the Provider. The last messenger Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) does not only speak about the significance and importance of knowledge, instead he also provided various examples for promoting it as well. In the early battles fought between the unbelievers and Muslims, Muslims won and there were many prisoners of war at that time. There was then a criteria set about releasing the prisoners. One such criteria was devised by the Prophet Muhammad(P.B.U.H) and it stated that those who are literate among the prisoners are free to go if they can teach ten Muslim children to read and write.
