Imām ibn Rajab Al Ḥanbali رحمه الله recorded in his Kitāb Latāif al Ma'arif that 'Abdullāh ibn Mubārak رحمه الله visited Imām Sufyān ath-Thawrī رحمه الله on the evening of the day of Arafah and he found him crying He asked him: Who is the greatest loser on this day? Sufyān replied: "The one who thinks Allāh shall not forgive him!"1 point
