RAMADHĀN REMINDER
Ibn Rajab rahimahullāh says:
Why shouldn't we hope for forgiveness from our Lord and why shouldn't we long for His Forbearance while in the authentic [collections of Bukhārī and Muslim] we read: “He is more Merciful to His servant than their mother is to them.” [And, in Qur'ān, Allāh, the Most High, says:] “Say, ‘O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful.’”
Listen to me then, O sinner! And we all are sinners, don't despair of the Mercy of Allāh because of the evil of your deeds. [Imagine] how many people like you are freed from the Fire in these days, so think well of your Protector and repent to Him, for Allāh does not bring down destruction on anyone except for him who seeks destruction for himself.
